PLA is forgiving: print between 190–220°C nozzle, 50–65°C bed, and use part cooling at 100%. PETG requires more care: print at 220–260°C nozzle, 70–90°C bed, and reduce part cooling to 30–50% to prevent layer separation. PETG also strings more than PLA, so tune retraction carefully. A textured PEI plate works well for both, but PETG can over-adhere to smooth PEI — use glue stick as a release agent.
